As a Catholic Christian and a lawyer with two law degrees, I am dismayed that many other Christian sects in America believe that the country of Israel today is the \u201cIsrael\u201d of the Bible. The Bible was originally written in Aramaic, which is the predecessor language to Arabic. The word \u201cIsrael\u201d in Aramaic means House of God. The translation and reference to House of God by the word \u201cIsrael\u201d did not mean a physical building, but rather \u201cfamily\u201d or \u201cfollowers\u201d or \u201cbelievers\u201d of the One God.
