Pour éviter l’assimilation, il faut que la prise de conscience s’opère chez les élèves avec qui il faut parler ouvertement des enjeux que représente l’apprentissage d’une langue minoritaire, ajoute Mme Mayer-Crittenden. Mais les résultats d’apprentissage suivant le principe du translangage pédagogique ont donné de très bons résultats au Pays basque espagnol et en Irlande.”
